We stay in an exciting part of Singapore. We are close to one of the greener parts of the city state, where a massive wildlife and nature reserve is in the midst of development.
We are also within a short driving distance from an aerospace hub, where an open space with low-rise conserved colonial houses have been converted into lovely dining venues. Known as The Oval, the space is absolutely child-friendly thanks to flat grounds where little ones can run around and an airplane themed playground.
And this was where we spent our afternoon, after celebrating my birthday with my family and parents.
It is free facilities like this that make me glad to pay my taxes.
