Different circumstances, different mood

You learn something new every day.

And with my miscarriage, I learnt that confinement treatment is also necessary although my physical shell did not go through nine months of building a baby and then the delivery.

The last time this house had the sweet fragrance of red date tea wafting through, there was much joy and excitement from the arrival of a new bub.
And I had a confinement lady to take good care of me and to cook all the rich and nutritious things old Chinese wives had declared compulsory for new mothers.

This time, I have to heal myself. And the mood is a lot more sombre.

But it is ok. I look forward to the healing process so we may soon try again to expand this family.
